Marshfield Youth Winter Basketball was formed in 1975 as a town wide basketball program open to all school ages for both boys and girls.  The program offers two (2) different leagues:

     (1) Recreation Basketball League

     (2) Travel Basketball League

The Recreational League focus is on learning good sportsmanship, team play, and respect for others. All MYB Travel Team players now participate in the MYB Recreation League. All teams are created to be as equal as possible to encourage competitive games. Games are once a week on Saturdays.

Focus at younger levels is developing fundamental skills and understanding the rules of the game. There will be specific guidelines distributed for each grade level.

The Travel League focus offers more time on the courts and more competitive play to elevate the player's skills and overall game. Typically 2 weekday practices with 1-2 weekend games.
